Before and After
When considering whether oncoplastic breast reconstruction is right for you at the time of your cancer surgery, it’s important to have examples of the different types of procedures and their results. The following before-and-after photographs feature the actual results of breast reconstruction procedures performed by breast surgical oncologist Dr. Sadia Khan and her team of plastic reconstructive surgeons.
All of the following patients chose to have oncoplastic reconstruction techniques at the time of their surgical treatment. It is done in the same procedure, on an out-patient basis, and often times without any surgical drains. All insurances cover reconstruction for the site of the cancer as well as the contralateral breast for symmetry.
